Industry supports new safeguards for E. coli in beef
May 21, 2013 - The Canadian Meat Council (CMC) and Canadian Cattlemen's Association (CCA) both announced support for the new safeguards for E. coli in beef that were announced Friday by Agriculture and Agri-Food Minister Gerry Ritz as part of the federal government's Safe Food For Canadians Action Plan.
